Primary Education For Every Child

Saturday, July 24, 2010

In India, still today also out of the 300 million children , a lot live in an economic and social environment which could impede the child's physical and mental development. So it is most important that now its time to all gear up to meet the needs of these children and to enable us to see an enlightened and empowered India tomorrow.

As the historic act, the Right to Education (RTE), comes into force , the Government, Non Government organization (NGO's) and others have all come together for the cause, primarily focusing on the unique problems concerning the children in India.

The Education for All movement is a global commitment to provide quality basic education for all children, youth and adults. The movement was launched at the World Conference on Education for All in 1990.

So it is most important to promote social mobilisation and legal accountability, looking to focus on the legal challenges to the right to education. The cornerstones of the Project are this wide-reaching website, ongoing research and a wide network of human rights and education activists.

According to international law, a ‘child’ means every human being below the age of 18 years. This is a universally accepted definition of a child and comes from the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child (UNCRC), an international legal instrument accepted and ratified by most countries. Providing them right education is our duties because they are the only future generation on this World.

It is a great challenge to provide Primary education for every child. The availability of good teachers has become one of the most crucial crisis points in the Act's promise to make quality education available to all. After parents, it is the teacher who influences a child most, and contributes to the shaping of his or her personality as well as occupies a very significant and pious place in the minds of young students.
